Noah Webster MicroSociety Magnet School

A Pre-K through 8 magnet school in Hartford, CT

School Procedures

Our school day begins at 8:15 A.M. Breakfast starts at 7:55 A.M. Students should not arrive prior to 7:55 as there is no supervision for them. This is a safety, as well as a liability, issue.

Safety is a #1 priority for all of our Noah Webster families. Because of this, all outside doors will be locked at 8:15 A.M. and all visitors (including parents/guardians) will be requested to enter the school through the main entrance on Whitney Street.

.If you are picking up your child during the day, you must come into the Main Office, sign your child out in our Student Sign-Out Log and our Office Assistant will call your child down to meet you in the Main Office. The adult must be on the emergency contact list provided by the parent. No student is allowed to leave the building without an adult signing the student out.

Minimal Interruptions During Educational Time

In an effort to minimize the interruptions of phone calls during teaching time, we are no longer forwarding outside calls into the classrooms. We are asking your cooperation in this matter so our students can receive quality education with as little interruption as possible.

When you call the Main Office (695-5380), our Office Assistant will transfer your call to the teacher's direct voicemail where you will be able to leave a message.
We thank you for your cooperation and know we share the same goals: Giving your child optimum educational experiences with the least interruptions in their learning.

Automated Daily Attendance

Once attendance is taken in the classroom each day, the automated telephone service will call the parent/guardian of the children who are not present to make certain the family is aware that the child is not in school.

This service will help to ensure that all students are safe and are receiving the high quality of education they deserve.

A written excuse must still be provided to the school in order for an absence to be recorded as an excused absence.

The automated calling system is also used in order to assure that important announcements are delivered to parents.

Please make sure that we have your child's most current address, correct phone numbers and emergency contact information so that we can eliminate calling errors. To update this information, contact Ms. Febles (Executive Assistant) at 695-5380.
